Found in the Villa Arianna with the frescoes of Flora, Medea and Leda, Diana's dates back to the 1st century and was painted in third style. The bright colors and the delicate pose, see the Goddess of the hunt as she tends the bow, depicted in profile on a blue background.
Diana (or Artemis) is remembered as the Goddess of the hunt, the moon, nature and agriculture, but at the same time it protected women and pregnant women. Often represented with a silver bow and arrow.
