Fresco Flora of Stabiaereproduction of the original preserved in the National Archaeological Museum of Naples, found together with those of Diana the huntress, Medea and Leda.

The fresco, dating back to the 1st century, was found in the Villa Arianna di Stabiae under the rubble of the eruption of the Vesuvius which buried Pompeii ed Herculaneum in 79 A.D. It portrays the Goddess Flora (or Spring), turned from behind while picking flowers and holding a kalathos on a bright green background . The Goddess of spring, flowers and flowering, represented for the ancient Romans also a protection for women giving birth.
