A mathematical model for the Buttocks of Venus!

For centuries copyists have attempted to reproduce the harmony and beauty of the great works of antiquity. They used various techniques but the result could be very different depending on their skills. A minimal difference in the measurements of an arm, a leg, in the position or orientation of any part of the body is enough to distort the balance and harmony of the original sculpture.

Our scale reproductions are exactly the same as the original sculpture . We achieve this thanks to the digital scanning of the work. From this scan we obtain a 3D print which therefore exactly reflects all the shapes and proportions conceived by the artist who created the statue over 2000 years ago.

The 3D scan of a sculpture provides every minimum measure and proportion of the work with millimeter precision. In particular, in the case of Venus Cappiligia, the harmony of her buttocks can only be guaranteed with absolute certainty through the mathematical model provided by 3D scanning.
