Vincenzo Bellini (1801-1835) was one of the main composers of Italian bel canto, considered the master of the melodic and harmonic style His music, known for the purity of the melodic line, made him internationally famous.

Although his career was short, he left an indelible mark on the world of music, influencing later composers such as Chopin and Verdi. His most famous work, Norma, is considered a masterpiece of the operatic repertoire and includes the very famous "Casta Diva".
