This Venus de Milo it's a reproduction in Carrara marble of the work sculpted by Alexander of Antioch in 130 BC, today exhibited at the Museum of Louvre of Paris.

The statue, without arms, fascinates with the harmony of its proportions and the sense of perfection it conveys. É was found on the island of Milos, broken into two parts and missing its arms. It owes its name, as happens with many archaeological discoveries, to the place of its discovery.

Historical Curiosities

Discovered accidentally on the island of Milos in 1820, the Venus de Milo has become an icon of female beauty. Her incomplete state - without arms - has fueled the interest of historians and artists, who have questioned what she was like originally. Sculpture has been a source of inspiration for painters, poets and sculptors over the centuries, becoming one of the most recognizable symbols of classical art.

Maintenance

To preserve the shine and quality of Carrara marble, we recommend cleaning the sculpture with a soft cloth, avoiding aggressive chemical detergents. Placing it away from direct sources of sunlight and moisture can ensure that the statue retains its original splendor for many years.
