Historical Curiosities

The figure of Venus, known as Aphrodite in Greek mythology, was often depicted in ancient works of art in captivating poses, such as the crouching one, a symbol of grace and eternal beauty. The crouching version of the goddess recalls one of the most famous models of Hellenistic sculpture, often reproduced in the thermal baths of ancient Rome as an emblem of elegance and seduction.

Maintenance

To preserve the beauty of the marble, it is recommended to clean the sculpture with a soft cloth, avoiding direct exposure to sunlight and the use of aggressive chemical products. Protection from dust and humidity is essential to keep the work intact over time.
