Historical curiosities

The figure of Venus, known as Aphrodite in Greek mythology, was often depicted in ancient art in elegant and evocative poses, such as the crouching one, symbolizing grace, intimacy, and timeless beauty.

The crouching version of the goddess recalls one of the most famous models of Hellenistic sculpture, frequently reproduced in the thermal baths of ancient Rome as a symbol of elegance, femininity, and seduction.

Maintenance

To maintain the beauty of the marble, it is advised to clean the sculpture with a soft, dry cloth, avoiding the use of harsh chemical products.

To best preserve its appearance over time, it is also recommended to avoid prolonged exposure to direct sunlight and to protect it from dust and excessive humidity.
