Historical Curiosities

Gaius Julius Caesar (100 BC – 44 BC) is a pivotal figure in the history of ancient Rome. Although he was never emperor, his actions paved the way for the transformation of the Roman Republic into an Empire. Caesar was a brilliant military strategist, known for his conquest of Gaul, which significantly expanded Rome's borders.

He had a relationship with Cleopatra, queen of Egypt, from whom his son Caesarion was born. This relationship not only consolidated Cleopatra's power, but also strengthened Rome's influence in Egypt, a key strategic alliance.

Another fascinating fact of his life is the famous episode of the Ides of March (15 March 44 BC), when Caesar was assassinated by a group of Roman senators, including his friend and protégé Brutus. This event marked the end of the Roman Republic and was immortalized by Shakespeare in his tragedy "Julius Caesar". His last words, "Tu quoque, Brute, fili mi!" ("You too, Brutus, my son!"), have become one of the most famous quotes in history.

Maintenance

To preserve the beauty of your marble sculpture, we recommend cleaning it regularly with a soft, dry cloth. Avoid using harsh detergents that could damage the marble surface. If necessary, you can use a solution of warm water and neutral soap to gently remove dust or stains, drying immediately afterwards with a clean cloth to avoid the formation of streaks.
