Historical Curiosities
The winged phallus was a very widespread symbol of protection in ancient Rome. Associated with the god Priapus, it represented fertility, prosperity and distancing from evil. It was often depicted on amulets or architectural decorations, hanging in homes or fields to ward off evil spirits.
This symbol, sometimes equipped with wings to represent the speed with which it could bring good luck or protect from dangers, was also a talisman against envy and the evil eye.
Maintenance
To keep your bronze winged phallus always shining, it is advisable to clean it regularly with a soft, dry cloth. Avoid using harsh chemicals that could damage the finish.
