Immerse yourself in Greek history and mythology with our Bronze Plate, an elegant reproduction that celebrates the legends of ancient Greece. This plate is not only a decorative object, but also represents a precious link with the past, bringing the legacy of ancient Greek myths into your home.

The engraving in the center of the plate represents a harvest scene, a very ancient practice carried out by the Greeks who, even before the Romans, used the theme linked to grapes in their depictions, so much so that even the rites for the celebration of Dionysus had the harvesting of this fruit as their central topic.

On the edges, the plate is very finely decorated with leaves and bunches of grapes and is suitable as a wall decoration thanks to the hook on the back.

Historical Curiosities

The grape harvest in ancient Greece was not only an important agricultural activity, but also a cultural and religious event. Grapes were fundamental for the production of wine, which had a central role in religious festivals and rituals. The grape harvest was often dedicated to the god Dionysus, the god of wine, inebriation and fertility. During the Donysia, festivals in honor of Dionysus, the end of the harvest was celebrated with processions, songs and dances, symbolizing the cycle of nature and thanksgiving for the harvest. Harvest scenes were frequently depicted on Greek vases and frescoes, showing men and women busy picking grapes and pressing them in winepresses. This process not only produced wine for everyday use, but also for ritual purposes, making the grape harvest an event deeply intertwined with the social and spiritual life of ancient Greece.
