Mug Flora with the image inspired by the Roman fresco of Flora, Greek nymph, goddess of spring.

That of Flora (Flora of Sabiae), Greek nymph, Is one of the most important paintings of the Empire Roman, buried under the ash and lava of the same eruption of Vesuvius who buried Pompeii and Herculaneum in 79 AD. In ancient Rome it was contemplated as the protector of flowering and wheat and in its rituals it was necessary to participate by wearing colored clothes to imitate the color of the flowers.

The fresco shows her intent on delicately collecting the flowers and scattering them with her basket. This almost seems to float in the air and has now become an allegorical symbol of the excavations.
