Historical Curiosities

Herculaneum, together with Pompeii, is one of the most famous cities destroyed by the eruption of Vesuvius in 79 AD. Unlike Pompeii, which was buried under volcanic ash, Herculaneum was covered by a flow of volcanic mud which, once solidified, preserved the buildings, mosaics and even everyday objects in an extraordinary way.

One of the most fascinating discoveries in Herculaneum is the Villa dei Papiri, a luxurious Roman residence that contained a vast library with philosophical papyri and ancient texts. The Herculaneum findings offer a unique glimpse into the daily lives and homes of high-ranking Romans, making this tile not only a decorative piece but also a tangible link to the ancient world.

Use and Placement

This tile is versatile and adapts perfectly to any environment, both internal and external. You can use it as a decorative element in the kitchen, living room, or even in a study to add a touch of classic elegance. It is ideal for both modern homes and environments with more traditional furnishings, thanks to its ability to evoke ancient history with refinement.

Maintenance

To keep your Botticino marble tile in perfect condition, clean it with a soft, dry cloth. Avoid using harsh detergents that could damage the surface. If necessary, you can use a solution of warm water and neutral soap, drying immediately with a clean cloth to avoid the formation of streaks.
