This head of Seneca is a bronze reproduction of the Roman bust from the end of the 1st century BC, discovered in Herculaneum in 1754 and preserved in the Archaeological Museum of Naples.

Historical Curiosities
Seneca thought that the actions of politicians had to be influenced by the aristocracy to achieve positive outcomes. His stoicism was based on the idea that destructive emotionssuch as anger and pain should be removed, that wealth and virtue should work hand in hand, and that one should not run away from difficulties. This detachment from the body that man can achieve is called autarkeia (Self-sufficiency).
Maintenance
To keep your bronze sculpture always shining, clean it regularly with a soft, dry cloth. Avoid using harsh chemicals that could damage the patina. If it loses its shine, just use a little wax.
