Historical Curiosities

In Greek mythology, Thalia, the first of the nine Muses, was especially revered for her influence on comedy and bucolic poetry. She represented the literary arts: she helped artists, poets, actors, and intellectuals by fueling their imagination. According to tradition, the Muses were daughters of Zeus and Mnemosyne, and represented divine inspiration for artists and poets.

Thalia is often depicted with a comic mask, a symbol of light theater and entertainment.

Maintenance

Marble requires delicate care. It is recommended to clean the sculpture with a soft, dry cloth, avoiding the use of chemicals. To preserve its shine, do not expose the sculpture to direct sunlight for long periods.
