Historical Curiosities

The Doryphoros is one of the most important works of Polykleitos, a master sculptor of ancient Greece. The work was created in the period in which the artist was active in the Peloponnese and depicts a young athlete in a dynamic position, probably Achilles with the spear. To create it, Polycletus proceeded with a series of measurements of young people until he found a mathematical module that linked the various anatomical parts. In this way he created a work symbol of balance and physical perfection

Maintenance

To keep your bronze bust always shining, it is advisable to clean it regularly with a soft, dry cloth. Avoid using harsh chemicals that could damage the finish.
