Historical Curiosities

Crabs have played a symbolic role in many ancient cultures.

In Greek mythology, a giant crab, Carcino, was sent by the goddess Hera to distract Hercules while he fought the Hydra, during one of his twelve labors. Although Hercules easily killed the crab, Hera honored him by transforming him into a constellation: Cancer.

In Egyptian culture, crabs were often associated with the waters of the Nile and with regeneration, while in some eastern traditions they symbolize strength and tenacity. Thanks to their ability to regenerate lost limbs, crabs have often been seen as symbols of resilience and adaptation.

Maintenance

To keep your bronze figurine always shining, it is advisable to clean it regularly with a soft, dry cloth. Avoid using harsh chemicals that could damage the finish.
