Marcus Aurelius Severus Antoninus Pius Augustus known as Caracalla, of the Severan dynasty. One of his most important measures was the Antoninian constitution in 212 AD, also called Edict of Caracalla, in which Roman citizenship was granted to all the inhabitants of the Roman Empire, so as to make up for the financial instability of the coffers and extend the tax base to everyone. In the same year work began on the famous ones Caracalla's thermal baths, the most impressive ever built in the empire until the construction of the Baths of Diocletian.
