Bracelet with ancient coin reproduction in steel and silver 925 18K GOLD.
The coin, a copy of the ancient denarius, features a hand engraving depicting the emperor Roman.
In ancient Rome, coins were covered with meaning. In addition to being used as a form of exchange, they were seen as apotropaic objects: that is, they served to chase away bad luck. From the archaeological finds, we can in fact deduce that they were used as jewels and amulets, often engraved inside rings or bracelets. Since the coin had intrinsic value (it was in fact gold or silver), using them as jewelry also served as a way to treasure a valuable asset.
