Historical Curiosities 

Capodimonte porcelain was created for the first time in 1743 under the reign of Charles of Bourbon, who founded the Royal Factory of Capodimonte inside the Royal Palace of Naples. This type of porcelain, characterized by an extraordinary shine and a milky white colour, quickly became synonymous with luxury and refinement throughout Europe. Handmade decorations, often inspired by nature or mythology, were used to create unique and highly desired pieces. Even today, Capodimonte porcelain is considered a symbol of Italian excellence.
