Paestum Diver Pendant 7 cm reproduction in 925 Silver, inspired by the Greek fresco  480 - 470 BC Paestum , Archaeological Museum. 

The image of the diver forms the internal decoration of the cover plate of a tomb found nearby Poor . The man in the act of diving into a stream probably symbolizes the transition from life to death. The other four internal walls are decorated with banquet scenes. It is one of the most significant and best preserved examples of tomb pictorial decoration, widespread in southern Italy and in Etruria. The composition scheme consists of figurative friezes arranged between two ornamental bands and subjects depicting games, battles, dances, funeral rites, banquets.

Paestum was founded by settlers Greeks in the 7th century BC; it had a very long period of prosperity even during the Roman Empire. It was abandoned in the 5th century AD
