Historical Curiosities 

The winged Phallus was a widely used symbol of protection in ancient Rome. Associated with the god Priapus, it represented fertility, prosperity, and warding off evil. It was often depicted on amulets or architectural decorations, hung in homes or fields to keep evil spirits away.

This symbol, sometimes equipped with wings to represent the speed with which it could bring luck or protect from dangers, was also a talisman against envy and the evil eye.
