Gaius Julius Caesar (100 BC – 44 BC) is a key figure in the history of ancient Rome. Although he was never emperor, his actions paved the way for the transformation of the Roman Republic into an Empire.
Caesar was a brilliant military strategist, known for his conquest of Gaul, which significantly expanded Rome’s borders. He had a relationship with Cleopatra, queen of Egypt, from whom his son Caesarion was born.
This relationship not only consolidated Cleopatra’s power but also strengthened Rome’s influence in Egypt, a crucial strategic alliance.
