This bronze statue of the Runner is produced with the lost wax technique from a cast of the original, made at the beginning of the 20th century by the historic Chiurazzi foundry of Naples.

Historical Curiosities

This statue faithfully reproduces the Statue of the Runner located at the Villa of the Papyri in Herculaneum, a copy of a Greek sculpture from the end of the 4th - beginning of the 3rd century. B.C. The statue celebrates a winning athlete in one of the great Panhellenic games, representing the strength and determination of the ancient runners.

Maintenance

To keep your bronze runner statue always shining, it is advisable to clean it regularly with a soft, dry cloth. Avoid using harsh chemicals that could damage the finish.
